Chasing the New Zealand Millennium Cup Regatta fleet last week were a trio of Smuggler Strata RIBs – acting as Media and VIP boats for the event held in the Bay of Islands at the tip of New Zealand’s North Island.
It is the 10th year that Smuggler Marine has supported the regatta as a Silver sponsor and for the 2021 edition a Smuggler Strata 900 Centre Console RIB, Strata 800 Mid Cabin Amphibious RIB and a Strata 750 Centre Console RIB were out on the water each day chasing the super yacht fleet as they raced around the beautiful Bay of Islands course.
The 36.19-metre Alloy Yachts built Miss Silver was crowned the winner of the super yacht regatta after three days of sailing.
The Millennium Cup has become one of the must-do regattas on the world superyacht circuit. First held in 2000 alongside the Americas Cup, the Millennium Cup is the longest running superyacht regatta in the South Pacific.
